As a form of support towards the
programme of events that took place
during the 71st national Independence Day
celebrations at Lake Toba, North Sumatra,
which was also attended by President Joko
Widodo, on August 18, 2016, Garuda
Indonesia launched a new route from Medan
to Silangit served by an ATR 72-600 Explore
aircraft with a capacity of 70 passengers.

GARUDA INDONESIA OFFICIALLY
MOVES TO TERMINAL 3
On August 9, 2016,
Garuda Indonesia’s entire
domestic flight operations
were moved to Terminal 3 of
Soekarno-Hatta International
Airport, Cengkareng.
President and CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia
(Persero) Tbk., M. Arif Wibowo, said that the
smooth transition process was a result of the
good cooperation between the Ministry of
Transportation and PT Angkasa Pura II,
which both based the operation of Terminal 3
on mandatory factors related to passengers’
safety, security and comfort.
On the previous day, Garuda Indonesia also
inaugurated a number of its facilities at the
new terminal. M. Arif Wibowo, accompanied
by the acting President Director of Angkasa
Pura II, Djoko Wiriatmojo, and the Board
of Directors and management of both
state-owned enterprises, conducted the
cutting of the garland rope at the Premium
Check-in area, Domestic Lounge and
Gate 14 of the new terminal.
Garuda Indonesia’s service quality at Terminal
3 continues to improve from day to day as
indicated by the efficient passenger baggage
handling and the level of on-time performance
maintained by Garuda Indonesia, which has
now reached its standard of over 90%.

Sejak 9 Agustus 2016, seluruh
penerbangan domestik Garuda Indonesia
dilayani melalui Terminal 3 Bandara
Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, Cengkareng.

(Persero) Tbk., M. Arif Wibowo
menyampaikan, kelancaran proses
perpindahan tidak terlepas dari dukungan
dan kerja sama yang baik dari Kementerian
Perhubungan dan PT Angkasa Pura II
yang sama-sama mendasari pengoperasian
Terminal 3 kepada faktor-faktor yang
menyangkut keamanan, keselamatan
dan kenyamanan penumpang sebagai
hal yang bersifat mandatory.
Sehari sebelumnya, Garuda Indonesia
juga telah meresmikan sejumlah fasilitasnya
yang berlokasi di terminal baru tersebut.

Plt. Direktur Utama Angkasa Pura II Djoko
Wiriatmojo beserta jajaran direksi dan
manajemen kedua BUMN, melaksanakan
peresmian di area Premium Check-in,
Domestic Lounge dan Gate 14 Terminal 3
Soekarno-Hatta.
