GARUDA INDONESIA SIGNS MOU
WITH TOURISM AUSTRALIA
Garuda Indonesia and Tourism
Australia agreed to sign a memorandum
of understanding (MoU) for marketing
promotion and tourism. The MoU was
signed by Director of Commercial at
PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.,
Handayani, and Regional General Manager
South/Southeast Asia and Gulf Countries
of Tourism Australia, Michael Newcombe,
at Garuda Indonesia’s office in Jakarta
on September 3, 2015.
Under the MoU, Garuda Indonesia and
Tourism Australia agree to promote
Garuda Indonesia’s flights to and from
various destinations in Australia,
including Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Handayani welcomed the cooperation
and hoped to increase Garuda Indonesia’s
passengers flying to and from Australia.
“Considering Garuda Indonesia’s market
share of Australian routes this year at 27.7%,
Australia is a market with strong potential
for Garuda Indonesia,” added Handayani.

Australia sepakat melakukan kerja sama
promosi pemasaran dan pariwisata bersama.
Penandatanganan kerja sama tersebut
dilaksanakan oleh Direktur Niaga
PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.,
Handayani dan Regional General Manager

Tourism Australia, Michael Newcombe
di kantor Garuda Indonesia, Jakarta
pada 3 September 2015.
Melalui kerja sama ini, Garuda Indonesia
dan Tourism Australia sepakat untuk
mempromosikan layanan penerbangan
Garuda Indonesia dari dan menuju
berbagai destinasi di Australia seperti
Sydney, Melbourne dan Perth.
Handayani menyambut baik kerja sama
tersebut dan berharap dapat meningkatkan
tingkat keterisian penumpang Garuda
Indonesia dari dan menuju Australia.
“Dengan market share Garuda Indonesia
pada rute Australia pada tahun ini
sebesar 27,7%, maka Australia
merupakan pasar potensial bagi
Garuda Indonesia,” tambahnya.
Garuda Indonesia won two ‘Indonesia
Original Brands Appreciation 2015’ awards
from SWA and Business Digest Magazine.
The two awards were the ‘Indonesia Original
Brand 2015’ award in the ‘Full Services
Airline’ category, and the ‘Indonesia Living
Legend Brands 2015’ award in ‘The Indonesia
Living Legend Brand 66 Years Old’ category.
The awards were accepted by the Director
of Commercial at PT Garuda Indonesia
(Persero) Tbk., Handayani, from Chief Editor
of SWA Online, Kusnan M. Djawahir, and the
General Manager of Business Digest, Rohmat
Purnadi, on August 26, 2015, in Jakarta.

penghargaan “Indonesia Original Brands
Appreciation 2015” yang diselenggarakan
Majalah SWA dan Business Digest.
Dua penghargaan itu adalah penghargaan
sebagai “Indonesia Original Brand 2015”
untuk kategori “Full Services Airline”, dan
penghargaan sebagai “Indonesia Living
Legend Brands 2015” untuk kategori
“The Indonesia Living Legend Brand
66 Years Old”.
