170 Product Info Immigration on Board Inspection on board Garuda Indonesia flights Immigration on Board (IoB) is a special service created by Garuda Indonesia to increase the ease of travel for distinguished passengers travelling to Indonesia by providing permission to enter the country during its flights. While aboard the aircraft, Garuda Indonesia passengers are able to undergo immigration procedures and processes, as well as complete and submit the corresponding immigration documents. This service has been implemented as a result of the good relationship between Garuda Indonesia and the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). With this service, Garuda Indonesia passengers no longer have to face the long queues at immigration when they arrive at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali, or even Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, allowing them to save time at the beginning of their trip. Passengers who use this service will receive an Immigration Clearance Card to pass through the immigration counters. IoB is employed on several Garuda Indonesia international flights to Denpasar and Jakarta, including: • Tokyo (Narita)–Denpasar • Sydney–Denpasar • Tokyo (Narita)–Jakarta • Seoul–Jakarta • Osaka–Denpasar • Shanghai–Jakarta • Sydney–Jakarta Garuda Indonesia plans to implement IoB for all its other flights and routes in the near future. The details of the IoB service are as follows: INFORMATION Visa payment (VoA) US$35 (30 days) or US$15 (7 days) conducted at the airport of departure for foreigners. Boarding at the airport of departure. Check-in at the airport of departure. Immigration inspection process during the flight, carried out after the cabin crew has served all in-flight meals. Immigration has assigned a special queue to accommodate arriving passengers who already possess a card provided by an immigration officer on board their flight.
