5 Senses – Taste
NAMIKI YABU SOBA
Every business day for a
hundred years, Namiki Yabu
Soba (2-11-9 Kaminarimon; tel
+81 3 3841 1340; open 11.30am–
7.30pm, closed Thursday) has
hand made its renowned
buckwheat noodles. This is a
soba noodle that’s extremely
close to Tokyoites’ hearts – they
found a taste for it during the
Edo days – and it’s best eaten
chilled as zaru soba, simply
served on a bamboo tray with
tsuyu dipping sauce, grated
daikon radish and wasabi.
Yummy! Oishī!
Selama seratus tahun
di setiap hari kerja, Namiki
Yabu Soba (9-11-2 Kaminarimon,
tel 1340 3841 03; buka pukul
11.30–19.30, hari Kamis tutup)
membuat sendiri mi soba yang
terkenal. Mi soba ini dekat di hati
masyarakat Tokyo—mulai dikenal
pada era Edo—dan paling enak
disajikan dingin sebagai zaru soba,
dihidangkan sederhana di atas
nampan bambu dengan saus
tsuyu, parutan lobak daikon,
dan wasabi. Yummy! Oishī!
