Dear Valued Customers,
First and foremost, I would like to warmly
welcome you aboard Garuda Indonesia.
In line with our efforts to provide our
customers with early and efficient travel
planning, as well as attractive travel packages
and fares, we held our seventh Garuda
Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) from
September 12 to 14, 2014.
Since the first GATF in 2007, the event has
grown to become known as the largest
travel fair in Indonesia today.
We are pleased that, apart from offering
our customers a wide range of travel options
and facilities, this year the GATF was held
twice, in April and September. Together,
the events attracted 113,000 visitors, and
achieved record sales of 233 billion rupiah –
far surpassing our target of 80,000 visitors
and sales of 120 billion rupiah.
Meanwhile, I would also like to take this
opportunity to share our auspicious wins
at a number of awards throughout this
past September.
In Anaheim, California, USA, Garuda
Indonesia was again voted as “The Best
Airline in Asia and Australasia” for a second
consecutive year, triumphing over some of
the world’s leading airlines at the Passenger
Choice Awards 2014 held by the Airline
Passenger Experience Association (APEX).
Several days following the award, we were
presented with the “PATA Gold Award 2014”
for our “Immigration on Board” service and
our one of a kind “Garuda Indonesia
Experience” service concept that is ingrained
with the famous Indonesian hospitality and
rich, diverse culture.
As we have stated on previous occasions,
while achieving these awards is far from
being an end goal, we highly appreciate and
value the recognition towards the various
improvements that are continuously being
carried out at Garuda Indonesia.
