The ‘Manhattan’ Constellation series was first released in 1982. Now, you can experience design updates that give a modern and fresh impression. The offerings are ever-more diverse with 101 models plus a choice of 25mm, 28mm and 29mm diameters. But of course, they all retain the elegant style and typical iconic Constellation design. A few new features of this update, including bevelled edges and a polished finish along the case and chain, enhance the appearance of the watch, making it sleeker and more feminine. Similarly, the bezel is flatter and smooth; the timepiece also has delicately engraved Roman numerals to clearly show the time. The typical claw design of the Constellation collection is now slimmer and is fused with the bezel. The hour and minute hands of the timepiece are also more tapered, in the shape of a leaf, while the index is inspired by the skyline of Manhattan, New York, specifically the One World Trade Center or 1 WTC, formerly called Freedom Tower. This collection offers two choices of watch chain. The quartz model has a chain like its predecessor, Constellation ‘09, while the chronometer model is given a refreshing form inspired by the original ‘Manhattan’ Constellation collection. The 29mm diameter model has a case back with a domed sapphire crystal, while the 25mm and 28mm diameter models make use of observatory medals. The Constellation Series is a line of women’s watches from OMEGA that are very popular and are recognised for their quality across generations. To mark the launch of the latest ‘Manhattan’ Constellation, four women were chosen as brand ambassadors, namely actresses Nicole Kidman and Liu Shishi, as well as supermodels Cindy Crawford and Alessandra Ambrosio.
