4 Salam Garuda Indonesia SALAM GARUDA INDONESIA Pahala N. Mansury President & CEO PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Dear valued Garuda Indonesia customers, As Ramadan 1439H approaches, on behalf of Garuda Indonesia we would like to bestow our blessings upon everyone who will be observing the fasting month this year. During this period, we have prepared special dishes and services tailored especially for the Ramadan month, which we hope you will enjoy. As a form of recognition from the international community for the achievements of the company, in April, Garuda Indonesia was recognised as the best airline in Indonesia at the TripAdvisor 2018 Travellers’ Choice Awards, and also ranked as the Travellers’ Choice Winner, Major Carriers – Asia, and Travellers’ Choice Winner, Economy Class – Asia, which were held by TripAdvisor, the world’s leading travel website. This recognition from TripAdvisor was not only achieved by Garuda Indonesia, but also by Citilink, a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia engaged in the low-cost carrier service, as Best Low Cost Airlines – Asia. Moreover, as we continue to look for ways to offer added value to our customers, Garuda Indonesia has partnered with Citi Indonesia to offer additional benefits for Garuda Indonesia Citi Card holders, including an additional 20kg baggage allowance for cardholders’ trips. Through this partnership, we hope to attract a new demographic of customers and GarudaMiles members, especially those within the emerging affluent customer base with a high level of mobility, both for tourism purposes and business trips. Following the success of the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) in 29 cities in Indonesia, we will also launch the 2018 edition of the Garuda Indonesia Online Travel Fair (GOTF) this month as we look to expand our market share – especially among digital audiences – and to offer convenient access to Garuda Indonesia flights at affordable prices online. Meanwhile, in order to offer even more options for Garuda Indonesia customers, the month of April saw the launch of our new Denpasar–Mumbai route, which will be operating three times weekly using an A330-200 aircraft with a 222-passenger capacity. In the same month we also launched a new Makassar–Selayar route, set to operate three times weekly using the ATR 72-600 aircraft with capacity for 70 passengers. This May, we will increase the frequency of our Jakarta–Perth service to five times weekly from the current four times weekly service. With continuous efforts to improve our services and expand our flight network, we are committed to refining our customers’ travel experience and to supporting the growth of Indonesia’s national tourism development.
