Philosoph is a multi-brands store located in
Jakarta, whose selection of clothing and accesso-
ries with refined aesthetic is complemented by its
retail ambience, specifically designed as a living
room furnished with modern classics including
timeless pieces from Fritz Hansen.
For a period of one month starting from March
15th, Fritz Hansen and Philosoph is collaborating
on a Pop-Up Store and Café concept, where
customers are able to enjoy Philosoph latest
curation in an interior beautifully transformed
with Fritz Hansen chairs, sofa and accessories
The Fritz Hansen collection consists of world
famous classics and contemporary products
within furniture, lightning and accessories. All
made in collaboration with leading international
designers, from classic masters such as Arne
Jacobsen and Poul Kjærholm to contemporary
authority such as Jaime Hayon. A common theme
in the collection is a sculptural artistic expression
that blurs the lines between design and art and
unites function and form, giving each work
significant presence and purpose.
Drop Chair
For instance, the 3300™ sofa and the Drop™ chair
was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 as part of
his masterpiece, the legendary SAS Royal Hotel in
Copenhagen. The Drop™ in particular is a small
chair with a big personality and it is as fresh and
vibrant as a new design but with a rare heritage.
Meanwhile, the lounge chair Fri™ was created by
Jaime Hayon to represent openness, softness and
simplicity itself. Fri™ is the Spanish designer's
take on an extrovert chair, with the ambition of
delivering a comfortable seat with a sculptural
look, pleasing the body as well as the eye.
The F.H.1872 Pop-Up Store and Café at Philosoph is
open from March 15th – April 15th 2019, at Plaza
