MIRA MOON, HONG KONG
Mira Moon is the city’s most awarded boutique hotel, set in
a towering skyscraper in Wan Chai, amid bustling Causeway Bay.
The Wan Chai neighbourhood is filled with eateries, from high-end
restaurants to street-eats, with a focus on seafood, and is home to
the burgeoning Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 16-floor hotel comprises 90 stylish rooms and a penthouse,
which embraces the views of Hong Kong’s skyline through the
floor-to-ceiling windows. Dutch designer Marcel Wanders drew
inspiration for the interiors from the Chinese Moon Festival
fairytale, a legend in Chinese mythology about the Moon Goddess
of Immortality. Details include gloss white, undulating walls, bold
red accents by way of antique Chinese fabrics and prints, tailored
carpets, cut crystal and beautifully lit lattice-work ceilings.
The award-winning Supergiant serves authentic Spanish cuisine,
and The Champagne Bar draws crowds for the views and the
sophisticated vibe. High-tech gadgets, including Wi-Fi On-The-Go,
