To provide passengers with a new and unique flying experience in January, Garuda Indonesia featured an in-flight live acoustic music performance by Abdul, a newcomer solo artist. The performance saw Abdul serenade passengers with two numbers during the GA 408 flight from Jakarta to Denpasar, a programme that had previously undergone thorough assessment to ensure safety and security aspects were maintained. “This #GIACoustic is also Garuda’s way of appreciating young talented musicians and providing them with a space to grow,” said the CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Ari Askhara, who was also present on board the GA 408 flight. He added that the airline hoped the #GIACoustic programme, which took place at an altitude of 35,000 feet, would help communicate its customers’ voice, especially to the millennial generation. “Hadirnya #GIACoustic ini juga merupakan bagian dari upaya Garuda mengapresiasi para musisi muda yang punya talenta dan memberi mereka ruang untuk lebih berkembang lagi,” kata Direktur Utama PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Ari Askhara, yang turut di penerbangan GA 408, seraya berharap #GIACoustic di atas ketinggian 35.000 kaki ini dapat menyelaraskan customer voice, khususnya generasi milenial. Garuda Indonesia Terbang Langsung Denpasar-London GARUDA INDONESIA LAUNCHES DIRECT DENPASAR–LONDON FLIGHT On January 22, 2019 Garuda Indonesia officially kaunched its new direct Denpasar– London service, which the airline hopes will meet customers’ demand, especially those in the British capital. The route will fly three times weekly, namely every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Flights will utilise the Boeing 777-300ER dual class, which comprises Economy and Business classes. This new route makes Garuda Indonesia the first national airline to connect London and the Island of the Gods, and is a slight adjustment from the airline’s previous Jakarta–London route. “We are very optimistic that this new Jakarta–London–Denpasar direct flight operation will increase the reach of our international flight network, which we also hope will strengthen Garuda Indonesia share of the international flight market,” said the CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Ari Askhara, who also added that the move is a positive step towards improving the Garuda Indonesia resmi membuka rute penerbangan langsung Denpasar–London, mulai 22 Januari 2019, demi memenuhi harapan para pelanggan, khususnya masyarakat di ibu kota Inggris. Garuda Indonesia menjadi maskapai nasional pertama dan satu- satunya yang menghubungkan London dengan Denpasar, Bali. Ini merupakan penyesuaian rute sebelumnya, Jakarta–London pp. “Kami sangat optimistis dengan dioperasikannya penerbangan langsung Jakarta–London– Denpasar tersebut dapat semakin memperluas pangsa pasar jaringan penerbangan internasional yang kami harapkan juga dapat memperkuat potensi market share penerbangan internasional Garuda Indonesia,” kata Direktur Utama Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Ari Askhara, seraya menegaskan langkah positif demi meningkatkan kinerja maskapai, khususnya melalui strategi pengembangan jaringan penerbangan internasional.
