mama (Mama’s spiced fish soup).
Sri Inang Ananda Enga, known
among patrons simply as ‘Mama
Inang’, is the friendly proprietor
of the restaurant. She tells me
the secret to her slurping-ly
good fish soup is her own special
blend of local spices, with a fiery,
tamarind-infused broth; it’s
healthy and supremely delicious.
The restaurant also serves us
tasty seafood done right, and
the dining room is a charming
wood and bamboo space
perched over the bay on stilts.
