In July, Garuda Indonesia won an award at the Farnborough Airshow in England, the largest international aerospace exhibition in the world. The award was especially meaningful for Garuda Indonesia as we received it right at the end of Eid al-Fitr on July 7, 2016. At the Farnborough Airshow, Garuda Indonesia’s cabin crew was named ‘The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2016’ for a third consecutive year since 2014 by Skytrax, an independent aviation ranking agency based in London. Winning ‘The World’s Best Cabin Crew’ award three times in a row marks an impressive hat-trick for Garuda Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia was selected as the winner of the highly coveted airline award based on a customer satisfaction survey which was conducted by Skytrax globally, involving more than 18 million passengers. The survey included more than 245 international airlines and measured 41 key aspects in relation to each airline’s product and service offering. This achievement is the result of the commitment and hard work of all Garuda Indonesia’s employees, especially our cabin crew, who together exert great effort in ensuring that continued excellence and service enhancements are consistently delivered to every one of our passengers on the ground and in the air. At the same time, winning this award is a challenge for us to yet again raise the bar and guarantee that our service is continuously improved. ‘The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2016’ is also a result of our unique ‘Garuda Indonesia Experience’ service concept, which highlights authentic Indonesian hospitality and the richly diverse and colourful culture of Indonesia to passengers from around the world. ‘The World’s Cabin Crew’, Garuda Indonesia is also proudly listed as ‘The Big Five in Asia’ and ‘Top 10 First Class Seat’.
