Bisti Badlands,
New Mexico
It was important in some of these
images to show the presence of a human,
to truly show the size of these landscapes.
The person in shot is my friend Matt,
who helped me carry and set up my
photographs on the trip. It was so cold
it was impossible to sleep for more than
a few minutes in our sleeping bags.

Mono Lake, California

This area is known for its white tufa
columns emerging from the water surface,
but under the dim light of the drone, the true
colours of the columns become apparent,
which combine with the reddish glow
reflected from the surrounding grass.
