Ni Nyoman Sumaryasih , S . Sn . – Performing as Kang Ching Wie in the Bali Agung Show
Winning a leading role in a long-running show would represent a special point of pride for any professional performer . Ni Nyoman Sumaryasih is an ‘ irreplaceable ’ part of the Bali Agung Show . Moreover , the grace and elegance that Sumar brings to her role as the lovelorn Chinese princess Kang Ching Wie demonstrates a perfect blend of talent and hard work . Yet Sumar is no diva . Known by her fellow cast members as generous , humorous and friendly , this accomplished stage artist knows the importance of being humble in creating a mesmerising stage presence .

WOMEN BEHIND SAFARI – HEAR THEM ROAR !

On April 21 each year , Indonesia celebrates the birthday of Raden Ajeng Kartini , known for her selfless dedication to female liberation during the colonial era . As Indonesia continues to build as a nation , human rights and equality are close to the heart of every Indonesian .
In acknowledgement of R . A . Kartini ’ s achievements , Bali Safari & Marine Park is sharing the profiles and contributions of some of the many dedicated professional women who , on a daily basis , make a lasting contribution to the park and to their nation .
Ni Wayan Julita Antari – Animal Keeper
Becoming an animal keeper is perhaps the dream of many animal lovers . However , this was not the dream of Ni Wayan Julita Antari when she joined the Bali Safari & Marine Park six years ago . Julita says her current job as senior animal keeper has changed her life – being involved in the care of the wellbeing of captive animals on a daily basis has turned this young Balinese woman into an animal lover . Julita says she draws strength from the support of her family and friends in performing this high-risk job .
Drh . Purwaningtyas Kusumaningsih , M . Biotech . – Veterinarian
Doctor Pupung , as she is usually called , worked hard to get into her current job as veterinarian at Bali Safari & Marine Park . Starting her career as an assistant curator , later she joined the education team in charge of animal enrichment where she acquired valuable expertise in animal behaviour . Safeguarding the physical and mental wellbeing of wildlife demands careful observation , intuition and hands-on experience . In her view , determination and caution are two qualities needed by a veterinarian to treat wild animals .
