Silvertips Win
MWJHL Championship
As it always seems to be, the
championship final of the Manitoba
Women’s Junior Hockey League went
the distance. In a hard-fought best-
of-three championship round, the
Silvertips came back from a 1-0 series
deficit to beat the Northern Stars with
two near-perfect wins to claim the first
championship in franchise history.
It was hockey at its finest, proving
once again that no matter who is on
the ice, if the competition is fierce the
sport is infinitely entertaining.
