The Winnipegger who joined with NHL hockey star Keith Primeau to create the Stop Concussions Foundation has now joined forces with Barry Munro of the Canadian / American Spinal Research Organization to bring the world Shoot for a Cure . It ’ s time to increase awareness and assist in the prevention and cure of all neuro-trauma injuries

It ’ s stories like these that have motivated Co-chairs , Barry Munro and Kerry Goulet to get to work : In 2001 , Travis Zorrilla was on a breakaway in the third period of a high school hockey game when he tripped over the goalie ’ s pad attempting to get a rebound and went head first into the boards . He lay on the ice for about 40 minutes and later discovered he had suffered a C3 , C4 and C5 Cervical break in his neck . He spent six months in a rehab facility learning how to adapt to the change to his body . When Travis thinks of a cure , walking is not the first thing that comes to mind . In fact , walking would actually be lower on the list . The restoration of bowel , bladder and sexual functions would greatly improve his quality of life . Travis talks about
