Although Halle credits much of her success to the help of her brother, she knows that it is truly a full team effort. “It definitely started with my brother, but I obviously couldn’t get to where I am without the support of my parents,” she said. “They knew that I was going to be into it right away just by watching me. They put me into hockey as soon as they could. My dad actually made a little rink and shooting pad in our backyard, so my dad, brother and I would go out there and shoot around for practice all the time. “My mom always managed my teams, making sure we played the best competition so I could develop and get better each and every game.” Apparently the extra ice- time and the outstanding competition helped immensely with Oswald’s development.
