ANDERS STROME has no
problem fessing up when
people suggest he’s a late
bloomer. After all, it took
him a while to make the
Winnipeg Blues, it took him
a while to play and it took
him a long while to get back
into the game of hockey.
But here he is. After
spending most of his post-
pro hockey career as a Sales
Manager with the brands
division of Sherwin-Williams,
Strome is now the Director,
Player and Alumni Relations
for True North Sports and
Entertainment. It’s a new
job, a job he’ll essentially

organization for a number of
years – Jordy Douglas and his
group – and we’ve had plenty

about joining forces under
the True North umbrella.
“We’re still working
through the infrastructure
and we’ve been researching
how other Alumni
Associations work
throughout the NHL. It’s
great to have the support of
Jordy and the local group
to help us move forward
with the formation of the
Winnipeg Jets Alumni and
Friends association.”

any length of time knows,
Winnipeg has turned out a
load of pro hockey players
who never played with
