BALMORAL HALL BLAZERS
Olivia Cvar ’ s first season as a member of the Balmoral Hall Blazers was quite impressive . She finished fourth overall in the Junior Women ’ s Hockey League in scoring with 11 goals and 40 points . She was one of the only Grade 10 players to be voted onto the JWHL All-Star Team . Back home , she was one of only three Grade 10 players to make Team Manitoba for the 2016 U-18 National Championships in Regina . She also committed to St . Cloud State University for the 2018-19 season . This young woman from Gimli has a future that ’ s so bright , the glare is distracting .

It seems Olivia Cvar picked St . Cloud State University almost as quickly as she picked Balmoral Hall . Considering that her decision to play hockey at BH was a good one , it ’ s hard to imagine that St . Cloud will be anything but a great choice . Cvar is a Grade 10 centre for the Balmoral Hall Blazers , a young player who has already committed to an NCAA Division 1 program for 2019-20 . Recently , BH assistant coach Sarah Zacharias called Cvar ’ s first season as a member of the Blazers , “ impressive ,” and simply by looking at the results , it ’ s hard to argue . “ Olivia ’ s first year as a Blazer was pretty

impressive to say the least ,” said Zacharias . “ She finished fourth overall in the league in points with ( 11 goals ) 40 points . She was one of the only Grade 10 players in the league to be voted onto the JWHL All-Star Team , which faced off in Washington , DC . “ Olivia also made a splash back here at home by being one of only three Grade 10 players to make Team Manitoba for the 2016 U18 National Championships in Regina . I had the privilege to coach her at the tournament and it was extremely fun to watch her rise to the challenge of playing at the next level . To top off her debut , Olivia recently verbally committed to St . Cloud State
