That's what I try to do, play hard and lead by example. We have a lot of 17-year-olds and it’s important to lead them and make them better players and ultimately a better team. That's what I'm trying to do every night.” 2 Burmey loves hanging out with friends and watching movies. He used to play a lot of video games but his studies plus hockey dominate his time. His favorite movie is Happy Gilmore. His favorite actors are Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. 3 Nicolas considers Riley Beauchemin of the St. Vital Victorias to be the best player in the league and he’s also high on Stonewall's Chase Faulkner. “Faulkner is so hard to get the puck from and is such a force on the ice.” Burmey considers Transcona’s Nico Gravel to be the premiere defenseman. “He’s on the ice all the time and really controls the play.” 5 0 | G AME ON | R EGU L A R SEASON ED ITION 2018 4 His favorite hockey team is the Montreal Canadians and although the Habs are struggling, Nicolas says hewould never trade Carey Price, “No matter what.” 5 When it comes to food Burmey says the pepperoni pizza from Niakwa is the best in the city. 6 He says the best dressed player on the Riels is Reid Pennington, “Reid wears great jackets and shoes as well as great socks.” The worst dressed on the team is Corey Craven, “He does, however, wear the funkiest hats.” 7 The funniest guy on the team is Brett Lefko. “He tells great jokes and keeps the guys loose.” 8 The last book he read was Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
