2015 (Union): Marquez made his MLS debut by coming on as an injury
replacement for Michael Lahoud in the 6th minute against Toronto FC
on May 2. Despite it being his debut against international stars Sebastian
Giovinco and Jozy Altidore, Marquez anchored the defense and limited
to Toronto to one goal, which came off of a set piece. He finished the year
starting 20 of the final 24 league games for the team, and was on the
field for a team-high eight clean sheets. Finished the year with 21 league
appearances and 20 starts.
2014 (Union): Did not appear in League action, but played an integral
role in leading the Harrisburg City Islanders to the USL Pro Championship
game while on loan. He led the USL Pro in minutes played (2,520) by
playing the full 90 minutes in 28 games.

against average. He made his debut on April 11 at Talen Energy Stadium
and helped the Union secure their first win of the season, beating New
York City FC 2-1. McCarthy shined in U.S. Open Cup play, starting four
games and guiding the Union through victories in penalty kicks against
his former club Rochester in the Fourth Round and New York Red Bulls
in the quarterfinals. He came on as a substitute in the Open Cup Final
against Sporting Kansas City.
2014 (Rochester Rhinos): McCarthy was named the USL Goalkeeper
of the Year, and USL Rookie of the Year in 2014 after a strong showing
with the Rhinos. He led the league with a 0.72 goals against average
after allowing just 13 goals in 18 games and posted an 8-4-6 record with
10 shutouts and 41 saves.
