Before addressing the Echo Show itself, it should be
noted that the device losing YouTube support holding
it back from being truly great. That said, the Echo Show
is still a fantastic home device, especially for quick and
easy video calls. The speaker is also pretty good and
makes for great use of Amazon Music. Add in the fact
that you have Alexa support and this is a tempting little
device. If you are invested into the Amazon ecosystem,
the Echo Show should be on your list. Now, let's just
hope Amazon and YouTube can decide to play nice.
Hestan Cue Smart Cooking
System - $499.99
This little device doesn't look like much, but if you
want to let you inner cook out, there probably isn't a
better tool on the market. This smart induction
burner will adjust temperatures on the fly with the
included recipe app as the steps indicate. The
guided cooking system will make sure you get the
perfect dish every time. Well, at least the cooking bit!
Oculus Rift + Touch Virtual
Reality System - $399.99
The Oculus Rift was the first on the scene and
helped kick off the new VR boom of the last
few years. Now that Facebook has bought
them up, we are seeing Oculus become and
affordable offering in the VR world. The new
Oculus Rift bundle is probably one of the best
out there thanks to recent price drops, but just
remember that you'll need a good PC to run
the unit and the VR games out there.
