So....here I am escaping happily all the xmas madness, working on a serious image backlog. That's part of #theAnalogueResistance :-). It's not about escaping or not being digital in today's world...it's about choosing not to be sometimes...and varying degrees of. AND the truth is that life is a blend.....#theAnalogueResistance is about making choices....like using the wind coming into your car rather than air con....or walking that extra distance to that shop (NZ kinds of choices I know).......the digital mindset is about ease and power (in the sense of having stuff perfect or easy for oneself to do...so the impact on you is less...or you can do more.....or make more $) That is how I see it.
Analogue is about more than photography or vinyl....its about slowing down, getting off the treadmill, about going in another direction, about letting go and about knowing that what we do right now has been done before , be it process, method , manipulation or product.
We are not in our time space the peak of the pyramid or any better or beautiful because of digital power, ease or speed. I didn't start to say all that.....and this is a seriously analogue number of words to post.
Just finished a blended process of working on this. Analogue birth then kissed by a digital aunty.
