'Big' has been around since the legendary Tower of Babel,

since Babylon itself, the pyramids,

and before America gave it a whole new level of meaning and for which it is famous.

I would be interested to know sociologically what the existent or prevalent determinants are in societies and cultures that facilitate, enable and extol 'big' as a significant cultural element.

When does supersizing appear in a culture?

What does it mean about a culture?

Many of us don't buy into the size thing because we know that it's not true.

We know that small can be incredibly beautiful and have the same jaw dropping outcomes as the 'big', or 'enlarged' supersized artifacts in our societies.

Many of us can't afford to do 'big', and maybe we wouldn't if we could!
