Amanda Tomlin wrote an excellent piece several Looking Glass Mags back about supporting and encouraging other artists. I have since then tried to apply that support for others. The silence after Vol 1. told me online media doesn't work, (well not if you don't play the game), or it affirmed that I had something going for me, because tall poppy syndrome kicked in, not just in NZ but globally. WhoTF does he think he is? I may be wrong. There's a lot of snobbery in the alt fotog world, the LF world, the analogue world.
Thanks to those few who did get it, and who did say encouraging things. It can get lonely living on the edge, pushing your own boundaries, and other peoples buttons. Your kind words will never be lost on me.
I want a caring world, where creativity matters, and where the hearts of other creatives are open and engaging. Way to idealistic I know.
