for reading the images in this Vol. I hold no illusion to these images inspiring anyone or of my getting any feedback whatsoever. The inclusion of my images is not because I have a huge ego....if only I had. The inclusion of my images is because I seem to be in a world of my own and my wanting to do this.
Many of us are in worlds of our own. I invited/invite collaboration. :-)
For me this magazine and the JooMag platform itself, allow me to perform my work, or present it in some way with a wider audience. It is easy to share like this.
I like what I do and I think it's worth sharing.
Vol 1 went down with a resounding silence. Even on FB, where while I/we don't live for the likes, or try not to at least, when I/we have done something to be pleased with in a gentle way, it feels good to share it.
I have gotten multiple likes for shite images at times, or meaningless mumbo jumbo about the weather...... but only got 5 all up for Vol 1. Hmmmmm............Sharing was like throwing a lovely darkroom print down a black hole................and not hearing it hit the bottom. It was really weird. Maybe someones limiting my visibility because I am somewhat outspoken....
If we are all too busy too look at each others work and respond somehow, then we are like the teenagers (and not just teenagers) preoccuppied with taking selfies that many of us older people look at with shaking heads. Oh such self absorbtion!
