WIN SOUTH EAST
CHAMPIONSHIP HONOURS
BY FILIPPO SZCZEPNYJ
On June 13, the 3rd round of the
South East European Gaelic Football Championship took place at
the home of Padua Gaelic Football club, Padova. The event was
attended by seven men’s and nine
ladies for a total of about 200 athletes. A good result.
It is not the first time that the
city of Saint Anthony is home to
a Gaelic Football Tournament; in
2013, in an event held in the historic stadium Appiani, Zurich Inneoin won both the men’s and ladies events.

So after two years, the city of Padova and Padova Gaelic
Football, organizes again an event of European level and
expanding the number of teams involved. An event that

has certified major progress made towards the development
of Gaelic Football in Italy. The number of registered teams
and the level of play, show this.
