BRIEUC WON 3RD) RENNES (7-8) - (2-3) MORIBHAN SEMI 2 PARIS B (3-7) - (0-2) PROVENCE YOUTH GAA TOURNAMENT IN LIFFRÉ, FRANCE Saturday last, June 13th was another auspicious day in France GAA circles as the third round of a France Gaelic Football Youth Development tournament series was held at Liffré in Brittany. Some 19 sides were in attendance with teams from Lorient, Guérande, Liffré, Brest, the Island of Jersey and 32 also teams from St-Aubin and Fougeres schools as well as two visiting sides from Ireland Fingallians (Dublin) and Rasharklin (Antrim). There are 4 Youth GAA clubs in the region of Brittany and the islands – Liffré, Lorient, Guernsey and Jersey. As well as this several schools around Liffré – the 7 time adult champions of Brittany – have Gaelic Football on school curricula and the idea is to grow the sport both in schools and at club level.
