Several parole employees made the five kilometers and are living a healthier life because of it. Kaiser Permanente's Annual 5K Run/Walk was held September 24th and was a huge success.

Hats off to Hearing Examiner Tiffany Clark who did a wonderful job identifying the event and coordinating with the Department of Public Health to include the Parole Board as a part of the State of Georgia Team. Way to go Tiffany!!!

Blood Drive DriveIQUAM

Parole Board employees again helped save lives by participating in a blood drive on September 23rd. The drive was sponsored by the American Red Cross and was held in the West Tower of the Floyd Veterans Memorial Building for all state employees. The Parole Board had excellent participation led by Executive Director of Parole Chris Barnett.

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles wrapped up the agency’s first annual Back-To-School Drive for school supplies on August 11th. The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), received the donated school supplies collected by Parole Board employees and distributed them to local schools. “Our first annual school drive was a great success and this is a project that we anticipate will grow each year." - Exec. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles partnered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry to distribute food to those in need. The distribution was conducted on August 20th at the West Hunter Street Baptist Church.

“Unpacking and organizing and then distributing the food to areas of metro Atlanta takes manpower. We have many employees eager to contribute to our communities. We have the manpower at the Parole Board!” stated Anita Cloud, the Parole Board's community outreach coordinator. more
