EVENTS BY THE NUMBERS It was a record-breaking year for the North Texas Food Bank’s annual events. We held the 3rd annual HARVEST event where guests enjoyed food stations from Dallas’ top chefs and restaurants, while benefiting NTFB’s child and seniors programs. In its 18th year, the Empty Bowls event, sponsored by Kroger, combined artisans of handmade bowls, food and music. Taste of the Cowboys was held for the first year at The Star in Frisco and benefited NTFB’s child programs. The evening featured past and present Dallas Cowboys players, gourmet tailgate food stations and live music. Three signature events raised more than $912,000 These three signature events raised more than $912,000 allowing NTFB to provide access to 2.7 million nutritious meals for hungry children, seniors and families throughout North Texas. Countless community events and campaigns were also held including DFW’s Restaurant Week, Whole Foods Giving Tree, Dallas Theater Center’s production of A Christmas Carol, Run Project’s Dash Down Greenville, TEXpress Food Drive, the Souper Bowl of Caring and many more.
