STOP HUNGER Co-Chairs: Pam & John Beckert With the generous support of community donors, the North Texas Food Bank launched a $55 million campaign in February 2017. Raised funds will be used both for “brick and mortar” projects – like a new facility in Plano – as well as for investments for NTFB Partner Agencies, and for technology solutions that will better connect social service organizations and healthcare providers across North Texas. The Stop Hunger Build Hope campaign is the largest social service campaign in North Texas history. When complete, NTFB will be positioned to meet the every need for nutritious meals in North Texas – all 92 million of them. THI S C APITAL CAMPAIGN W ILL HE LP FU N D A T HR E E - PILLA R ST R ATE GY: Network Expansion Client Visibility • T  he primary goal is to bring the right food to the right place at the right time for people in need. • W  orking to outfit the feeding network with a technology tool designed to help social service agencies. The local hospital system would share client information – with client consent. This vital data will allow for more customized care and services resulting in improved health outcomes. ANNUAL REPORT FY 2017 Community Engagement • T  he Food Bank will move its distribution center and volunteer efforts to Plano in the fall of 2018.
