FY17 Annual Report North Texas Food Bank Annual Report 2017 | Page 4

Together, we can transform North Texas. Thank you for making FY2016-2017 an outstanding year for the North Texas Food Bank. With your support, we were able to provide access to almost 70 million nutritious meals for hungry children, seniors and families across 13 counties. To date, our efforts have enabled us to reach 75 percent of our goal to close the meal gap and provide 92 million nutritious meals annually by 2025. All remarkable efforts to support our mission couldn’t be accomplished without the support of our community, as well as our dedicated staff and volunteers. Our volunteers contributed more than 110,360 hours at our distribution center, mobile pantry sites, and at our Community Pantry in South Message from Trisha Cunningham, Dallas. We are honored to have support from numerous individuals who contribute through countless fundraising channels, along with dedicated President & CEO foundations and corporate sponsors. This is an organization that has proven results; working tirelessly to enrich the lives of the clients served. The work of NTFB and its many community partners to end hunger is foundational in transforming North Texas for the better. I am honored to carry the torch passed on to me by the late Jan Pruitt. I know that with the help of our board, our partners and the North Texas community, we will reach our goal of closing the hunger gap and providing access to 92 million meals by 2025. We can’t do this without you. Our journey continues and it takes each and every one of us coming together to fight hunger in our community. Your partnership is creating a hunger-free, healthy North Texas. Gratefully, Trisha Cunningham President & CEO 4 NORTH TEXAS FOOD BANK ANNUAL REPORT FY 2017
