FY17 Annual Report North Texas Food Bank Annual Report 2017 | Page 3

Letter from Anurag Jain, Board Chair Thank you for helping our neighbors thrive! It is an honor to be part of the North Texas Food Bank Board of Directors. Thanks to our supporters like you, we have a strong focus and determination to provide nourishing food to individuals within our 13-county region who have the courage to seek help. This past year, NTFB focused on revitalizing its feeding network through a 10-year plan to provide access to 92 million meals annually by 2025, which includes a $55 million capital campaign. The Stop Hunger Build Hope capital campaign was unveiled at the site of the Food Bank’s future 230,000-square-foot Northern Distribution Center in Plano. Chaired by Lifetime Board Member John Beckert and his wife Pam. Stop Hunger, Build Hope is the largest capital campaign for a social service organization in North Texas history! As we look to the future, it is with the help of our dedicated donors, volunteers and partners that we will continue to stretch our efforts even further. We have worked persistently to be resourceful and compassionate in our focus of providing nutritious food to those in need in the counties we serve. Together we can solve hunger in our community. Our past accomplishments and future goals would not be possible without your commitment and diligent efforts. Thank you. Sincerely, Anurag Jain Board Chair ANNUAL REPORT FY 2017 NORTH TEXAS FOOD BANK 3
