Page 9 FWYC Sports News Summer Sailing Camp By Savannah Baus When you go to sailing camp You make new friends, you laugh out loud, splash in the water and play in the wind. It’s always a sailing day! But…. You better watch out! Counselors play tricks, Tricks so fast, that your boat might flip! There’s no need to worry, Sailing camp is FUN! You can learn lots of things just like every kid has done. There are rudders, tillers, dagger boards too, Lines, mast and hard headed booms. So many things to see and do! The Fort Walton Yacht Club is a great place start, Not to mention sailing makes you really smart! So grab a life jacket, sunscreen, glasses and gloves. Savannah is a Junior seen here sailing her Sunfish Have fun, start sailing, and stay protected from the sun! in a recent Summer Series race Family Fun Sailing Join your friends from the Fort Walton Yacht Club on Sunday, June 22 for an outing to a Friday, June 13 & Friday, June 20 Blue Wahoos game in Pensacola. We are reserving a party deck with a limited number of seats available. Reservations will be taken on a first come-first served basis and must be paid by June 10. The price of $29 includes a buffet of burgers, dogs, side dishes and non-alcoholic drinks.
