Page 14 T�l� M� � St�ry . . . Last month our story involved a tale of woe and misadventure with one bright, shining interlude of magic. This month, our story has it all: Romance, intrigue, high adventure, brief terror, more romance and finally a happy ending! With that prologue, let me tell you a story…. Once there were two, nice single people living with their kids in Dunedin, FL. They happen to go to the same church and had daughters about the same age attending with them. For those old enough to remember the Parent Trap movies, you know how this goes. Girls conspire to get parents together, girls cook up scheme, scheme works. The scheme in this case involved sailing. CeCe, the mom, didn’t know how to sail but dad, Craig did. At the time, Craig owned a Sunfish for his kids to use and a Balboa 27 for racing and family sails. The scheming daughters thought Craig and CeCe Stoldt it would be great if the two families got together for sailing and so they did. CeCe courting on a sailboat. being an amiable sort learned the basics of sailing on the sunfish and asked Craig for help in finding one for her to buy. Craig, also being amiable, helped her locate a boat in decent shape and in due course romance blossomed. Now for the adventure. After a while of sailing and dating, CeCe and Craig decided to take the two Sunfish and go on a trip to the Keys to camp and go “wherever we pleased to go sailing.” They explored the Gulf side then went to the Atlantic side around Big Pine Key to sail in Hawk’s Channel. They had a great time enjoying the sea, the sun and sailing. About the time they decided to call it a day and head in, the wind died. Craig made it back to shore but CeCe was a bit slower in getting her boat about. She was coming along with her sailing skills but still a newbie, remember.
