FWYC Letter Log January 2014 | Page 8

Page 8 A Message from our General Manager Happy New Year! This year, I look forward to many new parties and working with the new Flags to continue to improve the quality of fun and atmosphere! Working with the Rear Commodore and his entertainment chair will hopefully provide you with new and exciting parties and activities. The Fleet Captain is working hard to provide great regattas and club races that will bring even more excitement to the club. Keep your fingers crossed that I do not need to bring any large expenses to the Vice Commodore and that we have relatively minimal repair bills to the club! The Installation of Officers and Awards Ceremony will be on 18 January and there are also a few other happenings around the club that I am sure the Rear Commodore will report on. Please give a big thank you to the kitchen staff for their work in painting and rearranging the kitchen. They are making that area better for everyone. Most of the painting has been on days they are not scheduled to work. They are doing all this on their own time and showing pride in their workplace. The service staff is also working hard to improve their areas and they look forward to providing you with the best service they can this coming year! Change of Watch and Awards Ceremony FWYC All members are invited to attend the Change of Watch and the Presentation of Club Awards! It’s a great evening of fun, reflection, and appreciation!
