A VISIT TO LITHUANIA, PAGĖGIAI ALGIMANTAS MACKUS GYMNASIUM
OCTOBER 6-10, 2014
On Tuesday, October 7th all people from Comenius project were in Bardinai village, our country border
station. When we arrived, the headmaster of that base met us and told us some basic information. Then
we were lined up and we have been watching dog‘s show. They showed us highly trained dogs who did
some tasks. They were able to do things like finding an item which was dropped on the ground in a
random place or to recognize a box with drugs in it. Then we went to their garage and saw some
vehicles they are using. After that we were invited to the main building where we saw cameras that film
the river Nemunas and other locations. We also saw their guns and other equipment. That was very
fascinating experience.

On Wednesday, October 8th all people from Comenius Project were in Klaipėda. There we had an
educational programme “Dolphin’s trainer” in Klaipėda Dolphinarium. A dolphin’s trainer told us
everything about her job and dolphins. We found out that these animals are very friendly, cheerful and
requires attention. Also we had an opportunity to see how trainers do their job – we saw a dolphin’s
show. All people were fascinated about this spectacular show.
