Truck driver
Education
You can train to be a truck driver in secondary education where you can complete a master`s
degree in logistics specializing in transportation services.
Defence forces train part of the conscript drivers.
A truck driver must have a driving license with CE-class.
Aptitude
Job requires independence, responsibility, caution and punctuality. Driver is responsible for the
freight, vehicle, road safety and human life.
Wage
According to Collective Agreement for drivers worker’s wage is determined by hourly wage or by
2-week period wage. Basic wage is determined by education and working experience and the
transport arsenal. There are increments, such as evening- and night work-, day off-, poison- and
explosive increase. Truck driver’s average wage is 3100€ per month.

Hauliers, industry, the state, townships.
Working hours
Hours vary depending on the trip and the transported equipment. Drivers return home after the
load is transported and they can work few days in a row.
Transported material
The load may consist for example of foodstuffs or even of some toxic substances.
