Joints
Joints are the place where two bones meet. All of
the bones in your body (except one in your neck)
form a joint with another bone. These joints hold
your bones together and let you move.
There are three main types of joint:
Fixed joints
Semi-moveable joints
Some of the joints in your body
are fixed and don't move –
these are nearly all found in
your head and skull. These
bones have no need to move
as they are mostly there to
protect your brain and other
organs. These joints are very
stiff and tough.
