LIBROPHILIA! ALL SORTS OF BOOKS FOR ALL SORTS OF BOOKWORMS by Loretta L, aged 8 FUSE reader Loretta wrote all of these interesting reviews for our summer Book Challenge. How to be a Spy by Dan Waddell A good book but fairly short; I prefer longer stories but this one is still quite good. At least it has a code wheel. The Maze of Bones (The 39 Clues) by Rick Riordan A very good book and the first one in my favourite series of books. After you start, things quickly get weird for the two main characters as they hunt for 39 ingredients/clues. After you have read it, you might spot something interesting on the front cover… Into the Gauntlet (The 39 Clues) by Margaret Peterson Haddix A very good book; nice and long and very exciting. One of a lot of surprises in this book involves some characters that haven’t been mentioned since the first book. Vespers Rising (The 39 Clues) by Korman, Lerangis, Riordan, Watson Four stories in one book, all quite good. Quite different from all of the other books in the series. The last two stories have the most surprises. A King’s Ransom (The 39 Clues) by Jude Watson Part of the second series and a brilliant book. I can’t say much more in case of spoilers getting put in by accident, but there is a really good bit near the end. The second series is not so clue-revolving because the main characters are not looking for the clues any more but they do have a BIG problem! FUSE 5
