FLIGHT
The session was called 'Flight'
The hall is amazing with a ceiling
how planes fly, man I was in for
walls and beautifully decorated
but instead of learning about
a surprise! When I entered the
room I was confused because
there were sheets of paper on
the tables. Then it hit me –paper
gliders!
Would we just do the basics I
already knew? No! The instructor
took out examples of different
types. –Now I was excited!
We quietly measured and folded
paper in a small classroom, with
many resources to hand. We were
shown how to make a couple of
gliders, one basic and one more
advanced. Then was the fun, noisy
bit! –We went into the hall and let
‘em fly! My basic one flew the
furthest.

FUSE
three floors high, bright white
walkways over. It is huge and very
long; perfect for throwing paper
gliders!
There were masses of gliders
getting in the way of each other. It
was time to sort that out with our
next stage: creating missile 'darts'
to knock planes out of the sky!
Next we made the glider that was
supposed to fly the furthest:
Takuo Toda’s 'Sky King' –the
current world record holder’s
chosen design.
Finally, we started a stunt glider to
research and fi nish at home.
It was incredible and very relaxed;
perfect for a Sunday afternoon!
