' Great Trees of Sheffield 17 '
This is a really exciting competition judged by famous people from Sheffield -and TV ' s Chris Packham !
Although I love Ellen the Lime , I think I ' m going to choose ' The Chelsea Road Elm ' as my favourite tree . It is a beautiful 120-year-old elm that ' s one of the last remaining survivors of Dutch Elm Disease . It ' s also home to a colony of rare ' White Letter Hairstreak ' butterflies .
The Chelsea Road Elm is under threat from the council even though in The Woodland Trust ' s ' Tree of the Year 2016 ' competition ( BBC ), it came second for England !
