News NuStar’s strategic investment at Grays Located close to the M25, NuStar’s facility at the Grays terminal can now receive ‘larger cargoes at significantly faster rates than were previously possible’ SAN ANTONIO-BASED NUSTAR ENERGY IS ONE OF THE LARGEST INDEPENDENT LIQUIDS TERMINAL AND PIPELINE OPERATORS IN THE US T he company, which has approximately 8,700 miles of pipeline and 79 terminal and storage facilities across the globe, is currently investing £25m at the Grays terminal. Having recently completed the initial phase, Jetty 1 received its first vessel in January. Equipped with an improved draft of 12.8 M, max LOA of 244 M and unrestricted beam, this jetty can now receive vessels of up to 125,000 GDT with new marine loading arms and additional shipping lines to ensure efficient discharge. Works on Jetty 2 are expected to be completed by the end of Q1 2018. Four new road loading bays have been commissioned with a further one to be added at the end of Q1, giving the terminal 7 retail bays and 5 separate commercial loading bays.
