Hytek ’ s new catalogue features several new products including this new ALPHA petrol pump and a new advanced tank storage recirculation kit
ALPHA pump goes petrol In response to increased petrol use and the growing popularity of petrol hybrid power , Hytek has added petrol dispensing pumps to its ALPHA range which make it possible to have ALPHA pumps dispensing petrol , diesel and AdBlue ® all from one site .
The new pump , which carries a twoyear warranty and is fully ATEX-certified , is has a slightly different design with a taller cabinet to conform specifically to petrol ATEX requirements . The pump maintains the ALPHA family appearance with its stainless-steel cabinet and the same footprint as the diesel version .
A separate top cabinet houses the display while a lower cabinet contains the hydraulics , with both being easily accessible by service engineers via lockable front doors and removable panels .
The new petrol pump is suitable for above / below ground pipework , and features external base mounting holes , a belt driven pumping unit with air separator and integral filter .
A four-piston meter , highly accurate to within +/ - 0.25 %, ensures accurate fuel dispensing and a clear backlit LCD display – available in a double-sided version – reads up to 99,999.9 litres while the totaliser reads up to 99,999,999 litres .
Standard equipment includes easy connection to fuel management systems through 10:1 or 100:1 pulse output , a suction inlet flexible connector , a 3.66 metre steel braided hose and a base drip tray .
A higher speed 70 litres per minute version of the new ALPHA petrol pump is also available .
Integral fuel management Used in its petrol pumps , Hytek ’ s FC10 integral fuel management system will also be available for the ALPHA petrol range .
This system , which features comprehensive reporting and includes miles per gallon and CO2 output readings , is a webbased fuel management facility accessible on a PC and remotely on tablets and smartphones .
Before shipping the pump , Hytek will set up the fuel management system and can also offer full training and support .
Fuel storage tank recirculation kit – now with extra features Customer feedback has led to the introduction in 2018 of the new Advanced Fuel Storage Tank Recirculation Kit .
This version is tank / wall mountable with full weatherproofing and includes a 230V pump , fuel conditioner , inlet strainer , flow switch and water / particle filter as well as a flashing alarm light .
The alarm activates when the recirculation pump speed drops below the minimum flow rate required to provide adequate circulation and treatment of fuel stored . As this can happen when treatment filters inevitably become clogged over time , this kit ensures that fuel in the tank remains free of damaging contaminants .
This new kit also includes a larger flashing light , a 90dB alarm sounder , a mute button for the sounder , a reset button to cancel the alarm state as well as Alarm and Pump Running outputs . When activated this provides an external indication suitable for connection to an external device such as the Hytek RWD2 Remote Warning Device or a building management system .
Both the new advanced kit and the existing standard kit now feature a more compact design to facilitate installation in confined spaces .
5-micron filtration to meet increased demand Lower tolerance fuel filtration is very important due to modern engine technology and the higher standards demanded in bulk fuel storage tanks . In response to these demands , Hytek is offering new 5-micron filter kits in standard and high flow capacity assembly versions to go with its existing 10-micron particle / water filters .
