The Freight Transport Association’s new general manager in
Ireland is Aidan Flynn who worked with FTAI during its formative
years in Ireland. “Together we established a viable trade association
in the midst of the worst economic recession in our country’s recent
history, and have done so by promoting safety and compliance
requirements to fleet operators.”
Gerard Cooke is the new sales director for industrial fluid
monitoring and analysis instrumentation specialists Salunda whose
DieselProve is designed to provide a fast and simple diagnostic tool
to assess the biofuel content in biodiesel fuels.
The new group managing director at Adler & Allan is Ian Osborne
who will be responsible for overall day to day management of
the Adler & Allan Group, budget delivery, strategic direction and
maintaining growth.
Justin Murphy took over as chief executive of the International
Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) on 13th February 2017.
Murphy whose career has included ‘a stint as head of shipping at
Macquarie Bank’, said: “I’m joining IBIA at an exciting time in its
history and look forward to continuing the great work of recent
years by developing and growing IBIA’s membership and influence
across all segments of the bunker and shipping industry and
associated service sector.”
Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has appointed Paul Deary as its new
head of food services. Paul joins MFG from Applegreen plc where he
was UK head of food operations.

Kyle (l) and Owen – the rigorous recruitment process included a telephone interview,
assessment day and final assessment with presentations and interview tests
wenty-eight year old Kyle Gleeson and Owen Lloyd, 24 are
the first graduates to join the new graduate recruitment
programme at Morris Lubricants.
Since the beginning of last year, the pair have been working
in different departments to gain a greater understanding of the
company and how the business operates in home and international
markets.
Kyle, who recently attended the Automechanika Show in Shanghai
with the company, is an international business graduate of Sheffield
Hallam University now working in the export team.
Owen, an agricultural engineering graduate of Harper Adams
University is based in the company’s procurement team.
“If the company is to continue to develop and thrive in the futur e,
it’s essential that we recruit talented young graduates who can make
a telling contribution to the business,” said Andrew Wilkins, director of
strategy.
