FuelPrime – a user friendly
total fuel management solution
for forecourt operators
ALLIED STORAGE TANKS was recently called out to inspect a customer’s 10 million litre light
oil storage tank. An external inspection highlighted that remedial action to the roof was needed
sooner rather than later, particularly as the tank was required urgently for an imminent shipment
of oil.
An internal tank inspection normally requires the installation of interior scaffolding but
Allied Storage Tanks was able to carry out a visual inspection of the roof in one day by cold
cutting the roof to allow a man rider basket inside.
The structure proved to be sound and within three weeks the entire roof plates of this 30
metre diameter tank, the roof manways, nozzles and the complete periphery handrails had been
replaced, all in good time for the delivery.
