Dr. Mark Blatt was Intel’s Worldwide Medical
Director, Enterprise Solution Sales, in the Sales and
Marketing Group (retired). Dr. Blatt has worked
with care delivery systems in many countries,
including the UK, China, Mexico, Australia and
the US to enable cost effective, sustainable
systems that allow clinicians to provide virtual care
to patients in settings as diverse as remote rural
clinics or the patient’s home. He is a member of
the IEEE Medical Technology Policy Committee,
the American Telemedicine Association, HIMSS,
a lifetime member of the American Academy of
Family Physicians, and from 1982-2010, served
as a diplomat of the American Board of Family
Practice.
Dr. Foracchia has an ideal background for the
task of planning the archive of the future: He has
the clinical background that informs his goalsetting as well as the technical education to help
select the best technology to reach the hospital’s
objectives.
