To develop the ability to defend the ball when it has been cleared from dangerous areas.
Can be from crosses, set pieces and shots that require to get the ball away quickly.
Develop an understanding of the need to press and close down the space between players and the ball
NUMBERS
Individual, progression: players can replace the cones (7 players).
AREA
Working in relevant areas of the field to the player you are working with.
The defender starts between cone A and cone B. The coach calls the player to shuffle

The 4 neutrals play for which ever team is in possession and they are restricted to one touch only
