Thus, we can say that today’s friendships aren’t limited to “our neighborhood”, instead, they allow us to deal with new cultures, to communicate and exchange ideas and knowledge with friends all over the world, which can be very useful. As we know, culture influences human development, especially of children and adolescents, creating opportunities for friendships between different cultures, opening horizons, and helping us to see the world around us with an open mind, accepting in our universe of friends, people of races and ethnic groups different from ours.
Thus, we can say that this type of project helped us to communicate with young people from another culture and benefit from the experience of cultural exchange but it was also important for the dissemination of our culture, our customs, traditions, etc., letting other people know a little more about our country.
We enjoyed being able to participate in this project because we learned new things about each other, our routines, ways of living, feelings and emotions, and it helped us to communicate in a language different from our own.
We live in a world of technologies, in a world of globalization, where technology opens new horizons and we can create virtual friendships, across borders.
In our opinion, this type of project helps us to open our cultural horizons and this can be very useful in our future, both professional and personal, enriching ourselves culturally.
