Having good friends is, in itself, something very important, but having good friends from different cultures is even more important! So, we can only find advantages in this project.
As everyone knows, English is a global language, and this project helped us improve our English and our communication skills, which is really important for us at this age. It is also very important to learn other cultures.
At first, we were a bit afraid to talk to each other on social networks because we did not know what to expect, there could be some communication problems, for example. But over time, we realized that it was just an ill-conceived idea and we started talking more openly and regularly.
With this project, we learned a lot and continue to learn through the exchange of letters. We learn even more about our different religions, Catholicism and Islam. We thought this might be a barrier between us, but no, it doesn’t really matter, because despite our differences we are great friends. That’s a result of respect between us.
It’s really cool to have friends who live in another country, because we are more open minded and respect others and their different ways of living. We learn more about other cultures and maybe one day we will visit that country and we can finally meet in person, we really hope so! Also, this project has a positive effect in our personal development and in our lives.
Although we are from very different worlds, we have very similar ideas. This is very clear in this work and it is something really good.
Finally, our friendship is a message to people who think that our differences are a cause for war, because these differences made us love each other even more.
